AllMusic Review by

Someone once referred to Pachelbel's Canon in D as "The Taco Bell Canon," a moniker all too apt for one of the great warhorses of classical music. This album takes the old warhorse, gives it a surfboard and psychedelic baggies, and sets it adrift in an ambient ocean, mixing in elements of surf music and ambient/trance production, all of which makes for a hazy, vague hour that may be as notable for quoting surf instrumentals in the midst of classical music as it is for doing the classical revisionist thing in the first place. Alas, it never works up the kind of waves that would qualify it as a surf classic, an ambient requirement, or even a good joke. It is, however, pleasant and sleepy.
