AllMusic Review by

An odd grab bag of a collection, the German compilation Sunday Morning mixes laid-back European and American pop, urban, and rock singles. That the double-disc set spans decades and styles isn't a problem, but the quick changes it makes -- such as moving from the hip-hop of Deichkind's "Weit Weig" to Dusty Springfield's "Son of a Preacher Man" -- often come off as jumbled instead of inspired. There are quite a few good singles on the collection, including Craig David's "Walking Away," Dionne Warwick's "Walk On By," Aimee Mann's "Save Me," and Moby's "Porcelain," as well as Faith No More's cover of "Easy" and Duran Duran's redo of "Perfect Day." Overall, Sunday Morning actually does a decent job of conveying a relaxing-yet-hip mood, but the collection's stylistic twists and turns may lose a few listeners.
