Included in this collection are representative tracks from several African pop artists, making it a quick primer for some amazing music, but it is far too brief to be anything more than that. Senegal's Cheikh Lô swings gently on "M'Beddemi." "Lua Nha Testemunha" features Cape Verde's Césaria Évora and her rich, smoky voice. "Abelley Sphere" spotlights the wonderful and funky saxophone style of Cameroon's Manu Dibango. "M'Fono Yami" is a blast of tough Congolese soukous from Papa Wemba. This has a dozen cool tracks that will leave listeners wanting more.
