Clean pop from the East Coast, the Great Jones keep the hooks sharp and an obvious eye on the radio dial, with most numbers diving down into the deep end of the mainstream headfirst. Tricky leadoff "Wannabe" and "World Keeps Spinning" are eight-track heart attacks from a '70s soundtrack for summer days that stretched into forever and summer nights that slipped away too fast. Here's hoping this hip quartet makes it past the first cog in the corporate machine (as delineated in the Motley Crüe tome Dirt) and gets the opportunity to unleash more boss rock.
