James Emery's 1999 album, Spectral Domains, features more of his state-of-the-art chamber jazz. Emery's skillful, poetic jazz guitar is augmented by violin, sax, vibes, percussion, bass, and clarinet, for a sound that is intricately composed but allows for lyrical improvisations. Spectral Domains reaffirms Emery's reputation as a distinctive, eclectic performer.
