This LP from the small Italian Cecma label has two unaccompanied tenor solos by David Murray that are taken from the same concert as Vol. 1. While those flights are quite emotional, the flip side of the LP, taken from Aug. 1980, has Murray, for one of the first times in his extensive recording career, tackling a pair of jazz standards -- "Body and Soul" and Thelonious Monk's "We See" -- in addition to his own, themeless "Untitled." Murray shows some maturity on those tunes, although he does improvise quite freely once the themes are stated. A collector's item.
