AllMusic Review by

This is a Southside Johnny "solo" album, although members of The Jukes, notably guitarist Bobby Bandiera, turn up here and there. But the attempt is to take Southside out of the bar band, R&B, horn-filled Jukes style, and put him with contemporary synthesizer sounds and programmed drums. Still, he can't resist covering Smokey Robinson and Jerry Butler, and there's a collaboration with Bruce Springsteen on "Walking Through Midnight." It's a noble, but failed, experiment.
