This LP is one of Calliope's albums of performances taken from television shows of the late '50s. The Oscar Peterson Trio (with guitarist Herb Ellis and bassist Ray Brown) dominate side one while the Leroy Vinnegar Quartet (with the leader-bassist, tenor-saxophonist Teddy Edwards, pianist Joe Castro and drummer Billy Higgins) has three numbers on the flip side. Also heard from on vocals are Pat Healy and Jeri Southern. It's a good all-around set of 1950s straightahead jazz.
