Eleven years after Serenata, his first collection of boleros, Manny Manuel returns with a follow-up. In many ways, it's not just the great merengue singer revisiting the roots of great Latin music, but him taking another look at himself and his roots as a singer. Within a week of its release in Latin America, the album hit the top spot on the Latin Pop chart and number three on the Latin ScoundScan chart. These 12 songs are by some of the finest Latin composers and find the singer in excellent voice. Among the highlights here are Pedro Flores' "Obsesión," Rafael Hernandez's "Muchos Besos" and "Malditos Celos," and Cuates Castilla's "Cuando Ya No Me Quieras."
