AllMusic Review by

Randy Crawford's fifth and sixth albums -- Secret Combination (1981) and Windsong (1982) -- are combined on this 2013 release from Edsel. This is one of five similarly packaged sets from the label that covers the singer's first ten releases for Warner Bros. As with the other sets, it's a straightforward pairing with a substantive booklet featuring loads of recording information and notes -- ideal for listeners who don't want to settle for the digital downloads of the albums made available two years prior. Among the singles that charted between these two albums are "When I Lose My Way," "Secret Combination," and "Nightline" (while "Rainy Night in Georgia" peaked within the Top 20 in the U.K.). There is a bonus track on each disc: a live version of "Street Life" and an Al Jarreau duet, "Your Precious Love."
