Don't confuse this cheap package with Reed's second album for Vee-Jay. Instead, this is a grab bag of a few very poorly transferred hits, some B-sides of hit singles, and a stray album cut or two. The hits all seem to come from electronic stereo sources, making them sound hollow and echoey when use of the original mono masters would have solved the audio mishap that's here. The title track sounds like it was taken from a very scratchy 78. The only bright spot is the inclusion of "Cold and Lonesome," a slow blues that seldom gets anthologized on Reed best-ofs.
