AllMusic Review by

Rock of the 80's, Vol. 3 is a brief collection of synth pop and new wave classics. At only ten tracks it doesn't pretend to be a definitive statement on the decade, instead it is just a fairly random collection of artists. There are certainly some treasures here: Gang of Four's abrasive "I Love a Man in Uniform," Talk Talk's "Talk Talk," the Power Station's pounding "Some Like It Hot" and Naked Eyes' "Always Something There to Remind Me." Extra points are given for the inclusion of the oft-neglected "Love Missile F-11" by Sigue Sigue Sputnik. For a low-priced introduction to the new wave/synth pop sound of the '80s you could do worse. With a little looking, however, you could do better. [This same disc was reissued by CEMA Special Markets in 1995.]
