Although best known for his longtime association with altoist Richie Cole, guitarist Vic Juris performs fusion-oriented music during this recording, his first as a leader. Six of the eight selections are Juris originals (the other two songs include Wes Montgomery's "Road Song"), and his interplay with keyboardist Barry Miles, bassist Rick Laird (Jon Burr is on one cut) and drummer Terry Silverlight is impressive. Richie Cole himself drops by lend his support to two songs. However, despite some fiery solos from the leader, the overall results are not particularly memorable and sound very much of the period.
