AllMusic Review by

Created by and for white supremacists, Rebel Yells (subtitled Songs & Humor of the American Racialist Struggle) offers a hodgepodge of recordings mastered from vinyl sources, including a number of singles on the infamous Reb Rebel Records label by Johnny Rebel, Son of Mississippi, and Happy Fats. Other tracks include campaign songs for the 1968 presidential candidacy of George Wallace and a recitation by a Grand Dragon of the Ku Klux Klan. The compilation ventures into bootleg territory with the inclusion of two recordings by bluegrass star Jimmy Martin, both of which are sacred songs. The cover photo of eyes peering from a Klan hood makes no secret of what lies in store for seekers of bizarre novelties -- or for white supremacists.
