More skittish, more fun, and sometimes even more soulful than his walking dead name and horror-themed cover artwork imply, dubstepper Zomboy comes alive this 2013 EP, showing off a wide range of skills in a short, sweet package. Lead track "Terror Squad" and third number "Raptor" represent the U.K. producer's mainstream side with the former being a crowd-pleasing banger that puts hands in the air, while the latter gets loud and skittish with some Girl Talk-like samples flying about. "Braindead" is surprisingly small and cool with a classic 2-step and garage sound right round MJ Cole or Sunspot, then the closing show-off "Bad Intentions" runs the gamut, starting off like Gary Numan or Skinny Puppy with some stern electro-throb before going the full Skrillex and dropping the bass through the floor. Fun and filling, Reanimated is a Zomboy to run toward.
