AllMusic Review by

Virgin's Rave Anthems: The Best of Old Skool Rave and Warehouse Classics is a two-disc mix that pays tribute to the '80s Chicago house scene and the late-'80s/early-'90s U.K. rave scene that followed. This is a decent primer, even though each selection is included in a three-to-four-minute patch within a mix. Classic Chicago house from Frankie Knuckles ("Your Love") and Mr. Fingers ("Can You Feel It") is included along with the likes of Inner City's "Pennies From Heaven," K-Klass' "Rhythm Is a Mystery," the Todd Terry Project's version of Phreek's "Weekend," Moby's "Go," Prodigy's "Everybody in the Place," and Jam & Spoon's "Stella."
