If you're looking for the definition of Japanoise, all you have to do is spin Rainbow Electronics II, a remixed version of an earlier release of the same name. The disc is essentially 75 minutes and 16 seconds of abrasive and unrelenting electronics shrieks, processed metallic clanging and various other electric devices being purposefully abused. It definitely takes a certain type of temperament or mood to sit through this type of album, which is designed as a full-frontal audio assault--if you're in the mood, it's glorious, but if you're not, it's pure aural torture.
