Radio Waves of the '80s: Rock Hits offers a rather accurate sampling of the hard rock songs that dominated radio station play lists during the decade in question. However, it's far too random and skimpy -- just ten tracks -- to be of much value. The picks stay true to the title of the disc, but only those who find themselves needing at least half of these songs will have any use for it. Like the other volumes in this series, you get what you pay for. Some of the more notable songs included: Anthrax's "Caught in the Mosh," the Scorpions' "Like a Hurricane," Whitesnake's "Still of the Night," Styx's "Too Much Time on My Hands," and Yngwie Malmsteen's "You Don't Remember, I'll Never Forget."
