AllMusic Review by

A most interesting document for Pretty Things fanatics, surely the most valuable selection of unreleased material that will ever emerge from their mid-'60s prime. The first seven tracks are undubbed versions of songs from their 1967 Emotions LP that are unencumbered by the overbearing, sometimes fatuous orchestration that was overlaid upon them without the band's input; unsurprisingly, they are truer to The Pretty Things' spirit than the product that was eventually released, in the same manner that the oft-bootlegged stringless version of The Beatles' "The Long And Winding Road" makes the official one seem gloppy by comparison. Also included are some BBC radio, TV, and live recordings from 1965-70, which are rough in sound quality but appealing to aficionados.
