AllMusic Review by

Although the Expelled never recorded a full-length LP, A Punk Rock Collection nonetheless rounds up 17 tracks taken from singles, various-artists compilations, sessions for a never-released EP, and the 1981 demo that got the band signed to Riot City. Their only two official releases, the singles "No Life No Future" and "Government Policy" (plus three B-sides), are here, of course, and the non-demo tracks are arranged chronologically to give a sense of the band's musical development. It's standard-issue British punk circa 1982, and there are some ragged moments even for that genre, but there is a spirited energy about the songs that will make this appealing to devoted punk enthusiasts.
