AllMusic Review by

Minus the club lights, beautiful people writhing, drinks, and other stimuli, Perfecto Collection, Vol. 2's collection of dance anthems just doesn't work. Perfecto remains stuck churning out edgeless trance anthems like progressive never happened. Songs chug away for a few minutes before a simple melody is introduced, and if we're unlucky enough to get lyrics they're trite and generally about flying or something else really uplifting. A couple of bright moments -- Roland Klinkenberg's shuffling "Critical Mass" and Deep Dish's mix of Timo Maas' "Help Me" -- don't help much. Neither does the new, exclusive, and couldn't-be-more-out-of-place-at-only-90-beats-per-minute Paul Oakenfold track. Besides Oakenfold's pointless leftover, the rest of the collection supports the "it all sounds the same" argument while adding "limp" and "dated" to it.
