AllMusic Review by

This 12-inch EP, which appeared in France between the releases of Patti Smith's second album, Radio Ethiopia, and her third, Easter, contained one side of her independently released 1974 single, "Hey Joe (version)," and as well as a live performance recorded during her recovery from her January 1977 fall from a stage. "Outta traction, back in action!," she declares at the start of an extended improvisation that includes portions of "Radio Ethiopia," "Rock N Roll Nigger," and "Land," illustrating the development of her spontaneous poetry into musical composition.
