This is the second of five ten-track budget compilations culled from The Judy Garland Show TV series of 1963-64. The selections consist largely of songs Garland sang in her MGM movies ("Be A Clown," "Get Happy," "Swanee," "Medley: You Made Me Love You/For Me And My Gal/The Trolley Song," "Over The Rainbow") and vintage standards that were part of her concert repertoire ("Smile," "When You're Smiling," "Rock-A-Bye Your Baby With A Dixie Melody," "Chicago"). Garland is in good voice and performs enthusiastically before Mort Lindsay's orchestra playing arrangements written by Mel Tormé. While the series provided the opportunity to hear Garland sing songs she didn't usually sing, this compilation is devoted to songs closely associated with her.
