This is hard stuff, not the pop/punk of Green Day, but mostly the juvenile screaming fury of dyke-a-lettes with scores to settle. Power Snatch does a twisted take on surf rock with "Booty Go." CWA gives the ears a break with their melodic, hardcore sex-rap "Chickenhawk." Pansy Division weighs in with another silly single about a wild night gone wrong. Hyperdrive Kittens drum up the most honest rock on the platter with "Rock'n'Roll Drag Queen." Then the album deteriorates, finally coming to a close with more macho-slut stuff from Tribe 8. The compilation is certainly true to the ethos of punk: do it yourself, say what's on your mind, no bullsh*t, screw everybody. But only in softening the attitude somewhat can hard-queer punk ever expect to reach folks over 20 years old.
