AllMusic Review by

Acoustic Mayhem returns with Norski Celts, an release. Most of the selections are instrumental this time, from the pleasantly lilting "Tater Vals" to the Swedish walking song "Gundulet Mockfjord" to the melodic "Southwind," and Acoustic Mayhem performs them with typical aplomb and skill. There's some lovely fiddling on "Bluebonnet Medley," nicely interwoven with skillful guitar, mandolin, and bass as well. Acoustic Mayhem is deservedly hailed for its well-balanced performances. The exception to the instrumentals is a comedic vocal number, "The Swede," a cautionary tale about a farmhand who goes to the big city for a high old time, but gets suckered in a bar and wakes up in jail. In all, it's another relaxing old-fashioned good time, and listeners who enjoy their albums Traditional Music and All Over the Lot will definitely want a copy of Norski Celts as well.
