AllMusic Review by

Although from a later generation, Bucky Pizzarelli by the 1970s was the guitarist of choice for a variety of swing and pre-swing veterans. For this lesser-known but rewarding LP, Pizzarelli performs six unaccompanied solos and welcomes the great violinist Joe Venuti to the remaining six songs. Of the guitar solos, the highlights include "I'm Coming Virginia," "Nuages" and "Spiegle Blues" (the latter finds Pizzarelli overdubbing a second guitar). The duets include highly enjoyable versions of "Pennies From Heaven," "Joepizz" and an original called "The Real Godfather Blues." Fun, swinging music.
