Deborah Henson-Conant has always been in her musical category. Although some of the music she plays is jazz, she also moves into folk music, pop, mood music and her own quirky originals. In answer to a request from fans, she recorded completely solo, utilizing her harp and her voice, dubbing the results Naked Music. Henson-Conant's vocals are joyful if not always that subtle while her harp playing is consistently brilliant. While she jams a blues, perhaps to show that it can be done on the harp, the other selections range from the dramatic to the wistful. All in all, this is an impressive effort.
