...Loaded with those jangly R.E.M.-like underpinnings that have turned into rote genre exercises, but despite this, it's a solid waxing -- tuneful without sounding machine-tooled and smart without sounding condescending. The Seeds like a good joke (another of the record's pluses), so a song like "I'm Sorry, I Can't Rock You All Night Long" makes you chuckle, as well as tap yer toes. Kris McKay's vocals are wonderfully smooth and engaging, and the rest of the band steps mighty lively. Although it may seem like more of the same, it's more than just your run-of-the-mill college pop stop...
