The whole gimmick of indie bands covering unlikely tunes has been done to death, true -- but every so often there's some recombination of performer and source that actually seems relevant and, above all, interesting beyond the sheer oddity. Such is the case with The Mint is Still a Terrible Thing to Taste, which takes off from the really-not-so-odd-premise of having Coal and Cub cover Motorhead tunes, while Windwalker and Tankhog reinterpret Ministry tracks. It's sort of funny, yes, but there seems to be a lick of substance behind it as well.
