AllMusic Review by

Akron, OH's Churchbuilder returned in 2002 with the four-song Microdancer EP. The title track kicks off the disc, with Erin Carracher's confident vocals dancing over synth pop instrumentation. It's followed by the spunkier "Spanish Song," with Carracher and Denise Grollmus creating unique indie pop harmonies. "New Critics" is more downbeat, with Patrick Carney's guitars mixing beautifully with a swelling array of keyboards. The introspective "Snow in April" brings the disc to an end. BJ Barbieri checks in on drums, while Gabe Fulvimar makes a distinct impression on Moog keyboards. Recorded at the band's Synthetiquette Studios in Akron, the disc was released by Shelflife Records in July 2002.
