The Mega Rock series is formatted much like the Platinum Disc label's other budget-line series, with ten tunes on each disc that rarely fit the title with a representative sampling. The third volume of Mega Rock is much like its predecessors, featuring lots of hard rock from the '70s, but it also throws in a couple bafflers, such as Johnny Nash's very un-rock "I Can See Clearly Now." The disc also includes Ted Nugent's "Cat Scratch Fever," Ten Years After's "I'd Love to Change Your Mind," Mountain's "Mississippi Queen," and the Guess Who's "American Woman." Almost all of these songs can be heard within a couple hours of listening to the average classic rock radio station.
