AllMusic Review by

Jive Jones made a name for himself working behind the scenes for top-of-the-marquee names like Rachid and Mandy Moore and his ear for glossed-up, hook-fueled pop was easy to spot in his debut album Me, Myself & I. Taking the life-size Vegas excess of Max Martin's production for Britney Spears and desperately sketching in a fake punk exterior, numbers like "Now You're on It" were grating if somewhat catchy mixtures of EMF, the Who, Prince, and *NSYNC, and "Suck It" was almost purposefully awful in the way it tried to be angry and arrogant, but it also ended up sounding like a punchline-deficient Daphne & Celeste.
