AllMusic Review by

Millie Scott finally got an album of her own after years of quality work in the background singing with The Temptations, Spinners, and Al Green, plus her own groups, The Glories, Quiet Elegance, and Cut Glass. Scott's voice was best suited to heartache ballads and wailing, testifying soul stories, but that wasn't what would hook the urban contemporary crowd in the late '80s. Island produced her in the subdued R&B and dance/soul vein and scored some mild hits with the singles "Every Little Bit," "Automatic," and "Love Me Right," with the LP doing well enough for her to get a followup.
