AllMusic Review by

March Records released this 12-song indie pop compilation of love songs in 2000. It begins with "Stars Collide," by Swedish pop stars Cinnamon, a song carried by Frida Diesen's angelic vocals. Minneapolis' the Waves are up next, offering the charming "Sexy Dreams" from their debut, Flame a Little Brighter. Japan's One Star, New Zealand's Bike, Spain's Spring, and Ireland's the Harvest Ministers are next, making Love Ballads [March] a true international affair. The United States is well-represented with Kleenex Girl Wonder, the California Oranges, Holiday, and Ciao Bella. Figurine's "Our Song (David Figurine Remix)" and the Cherry Orchard's "Starcrossed Lovers" are perfect examples of the disc's overall theme of combining love themes with the almighty pop hook.
