As if wanting to taunt exile, Addictive poster boys Saeed & Palash are utterly lost in this dual A-sided piece of plastic. How they can release such material when there's so much more interesting maneuvers going on overseas is unclear. Maybe the fact that it was made especially for 2001's Miami Winter Music Conference explains its plain prog exhaustion and neutered, corporate, pseudo-speakeasy lack of sway and charm. For those eager to immerse themselves in tired old vocal quips (the recurring, rhetorical, "Are we losing control tonight?") and woofer-tickling that wouldn't unsettle even the smallest of bassbins, this is like striking oil. For the rest, fool's gold.
