In fact, this album is only half Nelson's, with the other side given to two songs each by David Allan Coe, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Carl Perkins. It was released at a time when anyone with access to anything Nelson ever did put it out. That aside, this stuff is kind of interesting (though not well recorded), showing what Willie would sound like with a real Texas Swing band on the order of The Texas Playboys or Asleep at the Wheel. He often talks about Wills and his influence. These tracks make it seem more real.
