AllMusic Review by

Accompanied by an impressive who's-who of Gallic hip-hop, La Fouine vs. Laouni is an ambitious double album from Parisian MC La Fouine, featuring one disc fronted by his bad-boy alter ego and a second credited to his real name, which showcases a more personal side. Produced by Street Fabulous and Animalsons, the follow-up to 2009's Mes Reperes includes the singles "Veni Vidi Vici," "Papa," and "D'ou L'on Vient" alongside collaborations with Algerian R&B vocalist Zaho ("Elle Venait Du Ciel"), former Mafia K'1 Fry rapper Rohff ("Passe-Leur Le Salam") and California MC the Game, who makes a surprising attempt at French on "Caillera for Life."
