Director Andrew Dominik populates the soundtrack to his 2012 crime drama Killing Them Softly with a hodgepodge of pop, R&B, and classic rock songs that reflect the heist-gone-wrong tale's idiosyncratic nature. Apart from composer Marc Streitenfeld's moody, noir-ish instrumental "The Feeling in My Nuts," all of the tracks are culled from outside sources, with highlights coming from experimental computer music enthusiast Carl Stone, who leads things off with the appropriately fractured "Moon Dance," Kitty Lester's soulful and broken jukebox lament "Love Letters," and Nico's freak-folk reading of the old Frank Sinatra/Bing Crosby standard "Wrap Your Troubles in Dreams."
