Wynn's solo debut is a logical extension of his work with the now-legendary Dream Syndicate. "Tears Won't Help," "Carolyn" and "Killing Time" are fairly straightforward pop. "Something to Remember Me By" and "Kerosene Man" are in more familiar Wynn territory -- a mean-spirited character and his professional persona respectively spit out some handy lyrics set to neo-roots music.
