Undoubtedly an effort to cash in on the late-'90s swing revival, this disc is one in a series of compilations, all of which include several tracks of crucial big-band swing along with a few more square pop hits to round out the proceedings. Jungle Swing includes the title track by Cab Calloway, "Lester Leaps In" by Count Basie, and "Stompin' at the Savoy" by Benny Goodman. The relative downside comes with a few tracks by Glenn Miller, Les Brown, and Artie Shaw, more famous as pop hits than actual dance tunes.
