Following the commercial failure of Hurricane Eyes, a broken Loudness limped home to Japan to lick their wounds. Having been dropped by their American label Atco, the band proceeded to compile this six-song EP for Japan-only release. And what a perfect reflection of their confused state of mind it is, too, offering a hodgepodge of styles ranging from the overtly metallic "Heavier Than Hell" to the glam rock of "Long Distance Love" -- later reworked for their On the Prowl album. Sadly, Jealousy also proved to be the last gasp for the band's original lineup, as vocalist Minoru Niihara was sacrificed the following year in favor of American singer Mike Vescera.
