A fine set of laid-back jazz perfect for those quiet and intimate moments when it's time to make the move and take your night to the next level. Nothing here is cerebrally intrusive, and nothing warrants much gasping analysis -- quite frankly, it's a simple, straightforward collection of jazz that will probably bore the real jazz fans to death. But that, of course, means that it's fairly accessible and easy to employ as peripheral mood music. Treat this the same way you would any of the other "Jazz for..." lifestyle-orientated mood-music collections out there. Performers include Houston Person, Ernie Andrews, George Freeman, Etta Jones, and John Hicks, to name a few.
