AllMusic Review by

The brainchild of Sergi Perez Berk, a former Spanish TV soundtrack composer, Berk & the Virtual Band released their debut album, Jazz Chill, in 2007. Featuring an array of talented musicians and vocalists such as Odette Telleria, Cristina Camacho, and Aaron Lordson, it includes cocktail bar arrangements and jazz-influenced productions of '60s lounge-pop standards ("Can't Take My Eyes Off You"), '80s electro-pop classics ("Sweet Dreams," "Tainted Love"), and unlikely cover versions of Green Day's "Basket Case," and Depeche Mode's "Personal Jesus," making Jazz Chill a consistently surprising and intriguing listen.
