AllMusic Review by

Ivy is the debut album by 19-year-old singer Ivy Quainoo, who won the first season of the casting show The Voice of Germany in February 2012. The album offers 14 soul/pop songs, some of them covers (Bacharach's "I Say a Little Prayer," featuring members of the BossHoss, "Soul Suckers" by Amos Lee, "You Can't Put a Price on Love" by the Knack) and some of them originals -- including the first single "Do You Like What You See," which was written by Djorkaeff, Beatzarre, and Sylvia Gordon and which reached number two on the German singles charts. Ivy also includes Quainoo's live performance of "Shake It Out" with Florence + the Machine from the TV show as a bonus track. The record is also available as a limited-deluxe edition with a bonus DVD.
