Though the group wasn't able to regain its commercial status with Love A Little Stronger, Diamond Rio decided not to play things safe with IV. Taking its cue from its predecessor, IV explores a number of different country subgenres, thereby demonstrating the versatility and depth of its musicians. However, there's a problem when musicians are this talented -- the music is impressive on the surface, but it rarely gels into something memorable.
