These 12 tracks are of an uncertain vintage -- the liner notes refer to the song "This Man Is Back" (included here) as having been cut in 1957, so it could go way back into pre-ska (although the version of that song here could possibly be a re-recording). We may never find out the answer to these burning questions, but what's most important in the meantime is that this is, aside from Greatest Hits on Treasure Isle, the Drummond compilation you're most likely to stumble across. This offers similar infectious, loopy instrumental ska grooves. Only one cut from Greatest Hits is duplicated, and quality-wise there's not much grounds to choose from when comparing the albums -- if you like one, you'll almost certainly want the other.
