Hymns to Victory is another hodgepodge release that came out at about the same time as The Book of Burning. At its best, Virgin Steele was a poor man's Manowar and, with this pair of discs, the group is relegated to the status of a cover band that only played its own material. The fact that the couple of new tracks are virtually indistinguishable from the remixed, remastered, and other alternate takes from the band's earlier eras is telling. For fans only.
