Herbie Hancock is so versatile that one never knows what he will do next. On this set, performed in Switzerland in 1984, the music is purely acoustic. With fine work from bassist Ron Carter and drummer Billy Cobham, Hancock performs seven selections, including his "Eye of the Hurricane," "Dolphin Dance," the lengthy "Princess," and the blues "Walkin'." Excellent modern, straight-ahead (and sometimes impressionistic) jazz.
