Wee Gee is William Howard, ex-lead singer for the Dramatics ("In the Rain"), who left the group after their second LP. A vocal clone of David Ruffin, Wee Gee turns in a decent collection produced by ex-Motown board man Vernon Bullock. The success of "Hold on to Your Dreams" on the R&B charts should have been an indication of good times, but it was only a mirage. The most commercial song on the LP, "Ain't Nothin' Missin' (But the Music)" languished as the B-side to the aforementioned title cut; a shame, too, because the song had potential. He really lays his heart on the line on "You've Been a Part of Me" a gritty, straight-from-the-heart confession with Wee Gee emoting on the fade.
