The second of the two volumes during which pianist Oscar Peterson looks back at his earlier associations is a single LP that has since been reissued along with the first album as part of a two-CD set. Unfortunately the chronology is shuffled a bit on this program but there are some strong performances. Peterson duets with bassist Ray Brown on a remake of their early hit "Tenderly," teams up with guitarists Barney Kessel and Herb Ellis for a pair of trios, interacts with drummer Bobby Durham and either Sam Jones or George Mraz on bass, and performs "Reunion Blues" with his then-current musical partners: guitarist Joe Pass and bassist Niels Pedersen.
